Water Conservation and Efficiency

As you would expect, Tampa Bay Water is deeply committed to efficiency in the region’s vital water supply. We research, plan and coordinate water efficiency efforts for the Tampa Bay Region.

Tampa Bay Water’s efficiency efforts focus on protecting the amount of water available for drinking, bathing and living. We do this by:

  • Reviewing new products, technologies and services designed to save water
  • Identifying best practices in water efficiency
  • Distributing the latest information on water demand and conservation through our member governments of Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, and the cities of New Port Richey, St. Petersburg and Tampa
  • Encouraging our member governments to implement best-practice recommendations

Our Water Conservation & Efficiency Efforts

Tampa Bay Water’s water-efficiency efforts help our member governments to: Educate water users on best practices through educational materials, tips, check lists and guidelines; Create incentive and rebate programs on specific water-saving products such as energy- and water-efficient appliances; and sustain the region’s quality of life and environment.

TAMPA BAY WATER WISE REGIONAL REBATE PROGRAM

Everyone has a role to play in conserving our drinking water resources. To help our region conserve water, Tampa Bay Water is partnering with our member governments and the Southwest Florida Water Management District on Tampa Bay Water Wise, a regional water conservation program that offers rebates to residents, commercial property owners, contractors and builders who take proactive steps to reduce water use and demand on the region’s water supply. It’s never been easier to conserve water and save money in the process.
